Well we did it. We visited the San Diego Fertility Center last week. They checked Alisa over pretty well and looked at the results of my sperm test and recommended a we go with a few rounds of IUI (in layman's terms, artificial insemination). It's actually not as expensive as we thought it was going to be. It's $550 vs $10,000 some of the other treatments that they have. The doctor is pretty optimistic about it because we were able to get pregnant before, but as he put it, "Once in a year and a half is below average", so we are going with the procedure. Woohoo, I get to make a deposit in a cup!

Alisa and I still are not pregnant. So I went to the doctor to get my sperm count checked. Everything is good on that front, but apparently my motility is down. Something like 55 when I should be at a 70, whatever that means. Alisa is already talking about artificial insemination. To top it all off, Alisa's doctor recommended that she get vaccinated for Rubella and mumps before we try to get pregnant. So we have to wait a month before we can get back to baby making.

On the work front things are going OK. The commercial real estate industry is still down, so things have been slow at our company. Busy for us developers though, because we are developing auction functionality for the site.

I'm also developing a new app for my Windows Mobile phone. One that will calculate Weight Watcher points and keep track of what you've eaten for the day. Wish me luck.

Just a quick update, as I haven't added anything to this blog in quite a while. Well first, as you can see by the header, I've gotten married. Alisa and I are happily living in Spring Valley, CA, about ten minutes outside of downtown San Diego. Being on the other side of 30, we are trying to quickly get pregnant, so we aren't in walkers when our children graduate from high school. I'll keep everyone posted on how that goes.

Right now it's a lot of ovulation kits, and a little more pressure than I need. :-)
